How To Grow Thyme Indoors

Growing Thyme Leaves indoors is easy, just choose the type of thyme that you want to grow. Light is naturally lower indoors so find a perfect spot where it will get sunlight for most of the day. Fill the container with seed starting soil. Sprinkle the thyme seeds across the top of the potting soil then slightly cover them with additional soil. Gently water it and set in a warm area or under grow lights. Keep the soil moist until it germinates, approximately 1 to 2 weeks. Water the thyme when the surface soil feels dry. Make sure it does not wilt but the roots may rot if the soil is too moist. Use a liquid fertilizer every 2 to 3 weeks during later summer/spring. Pinch some stems after the plant became established. After few years, dig the plant up and you can divide to stimulate new growth so you can plant more.
