Watching Satellite TV on Your PC

A lot of people love to find new ways to make their PC more entertaining. Whether its games or cool videos and drawing software, people really love to utilize the PC for something more than just a working tool. And many people have began to use the PC like a specialized TV viewing device. I have seen a lot of folks that are professionals. They spend a lot time on the highway and seemingly miss many of there favorite Television shows while out of town. Either from standing on the planes , on the airports, driving with co-workers, or they end up at hotels that don't give you the viewing options they need or are accustomed to. So signifies there's something about this satellite direct for pc software. Honestly, I wouldn't even write about it if I didn't believe it is to be totally useful. Although I keep up with my sports teams, but I'm able to now view tv shows that are shown on stations like TNT, Spike and History Channel - Like I said, I live down south. And I just happen to live in a bad area for cable and regular satellite.

Why You Need A Wedding Video !

Why many wedding suppliers and previous married couples agree a wedding video is a must!

Many peoples mindset

So who wants a stranger hanging about on their big day shoving a camera in your face and turning your day into one big movie shoot! For many couples this is how they see a wedding cameramen, as intrusive, unprofessional and an extra thing to be worried about, as a lot of people don't like being filmed! Most people have only ever been filmed by a family member, or at a school play, or by a bad cameraman at someone else's wedding! Many couples are concerned about relaxing and enjoying their big day and see a wedding video as a detriment to this, however in truth its quite the opposite!

The truth about Wedding Videos

Ask all married couples about their day and the one thing they will say is how quickly it past them by! How they did not get to appreciate the church and its detail, the flowers and lace, the guests, the magician, the quartet, the grounds of the wedding venue/reception etc. Many couples would have spent many months if not years deciding on what suppliers to have at their big day, what cake to choose, what dress to wear and the day has flashed past, leaving only memories!(unfortunately memories are restricted to what you actually saw in the first place!) Some of the suppliers may not even be seen or noticed by the bride and groom as they are so busy with the photographer or greeting guests they have not seen for many years. Its only afterwards when they speak with their friends that they discover that they were even there!

This is why when you ask married couples after the event their biggest regret is often not having a wedding video, especially if they have seen there friends wedding video, so that they can re-live their big day! Why do you think that brides who do have their wedding filmed are watching it endlessly for years to come!

Won't the video get in the way

A good wedding videographer will in the most part, blend into the background. They will be fully briefed as to the running order of the day and be in place for the important moments before they happen rather than reacting to the moment. This way they will remain unobtrusive and discreet as a good, experienced videographer plans their position before each shot Very often the videographer will add to the running of the day as they know what should be happening and when and work with the photographer to keep to the timetable. More recently, there has been an upsurge of amateur photographers who, having bought a high quality digital camera have branched out into the world of wedding photography with little or no experience. The experienced videographer will notice how stills cameramen will often be missing for those important moments and look to guide and assist them in such instances.

A photograph tells a thousand words

If a photograph tells a thousand words imagine what a video with a professional soundtrack can do. The speeches are a classic case. Perhaps you are one of the clever ones and can remember more than 10% of what you hear but a video camera is even cleverer recording 100% of sound and all the mannerisms and bodily reactions to go with it. Imagine showing the kids 10 years later what grandad said about daddy. Even better, you can show daddy doing the first dance.

Video Interviews

Something which has come over from America is the wedding video interview and is now becoming more and more popular for a number of reasons. With travel becoming easier, quicker and cheaper more and more guests are travelling from all around the world to attend important events. Recording what your guest has to say after travelling from the USA or Australia can be seen as a treasured momento from someone not often seen and a welcome opportunity for your distant guest to say something of value which can be reflected in due time.

Videographers approach this process in different ways and not all achieve the said purpose so its worth being aware of this beforehand and asking the relevant questions.

Some would set up a video camera in a booth or small private room and on continous record with a 3 tape running, let their guests speak to camera in any fashion they wish. Others would ask guests questions from behind the camera and edit out their own voice. A third method is to give a radio mic to the best man or one of the main wedding party and, with the camera following at a discreet distance, to ask and record questions and answers in an informal manner. This third method always seems to work well and produces results which are not as random or stilted as the other two.

What about the cost - its not cheap

Typically, an English wedding would put a photographer as being essential but a wedding videographer a nice to have but a bit of a luxury. Attitudes are starting to change with the quality of work rising and more people starting to speak of the video's value. On the other hand, an Asian wedding puts the video ahead of the photography with more money being allocated to this media. Who is right? The boundaries between video and photography are all time becoming closer and closer with Compact Flash recording media being used for both video and photography, photoshop and other editing programmes being used for editing both and still cameras now being equipped to shoot video and video cameras being equipped to shoot stills. For me, if you can find a company who knows about both and uses the new technology to produce stunning photographs as well as complimentary video you will get the best of all worlds and a quite unique service. Many couples will tell you commissioning a wedding videographer was the best bit of money they spent and end up watching it for many years after the event. Cheap? Its all relative but after the wedding you will only have your memories, photographs and if your now convinced, a great video?
